Pat Vaselakos, owner/operator of the Golden Chick franchise on South Cooper Street, and her assistant, Debra, present to HRA director Dave Woodward a check for $502.50, the September proceeds -- one quarter at a time -- from Clucky the Chicken. Clucky, seen here above Woodward's head, animatedly clucks and twirls at the insertion of a coin and perchance will lay the golden egg, which earns the investor a nicely crafted stuffed Golden Chick mascot. Clucky has proved popular with students from the nearby University of Texas at Arlington and Arlington High School.
