Helping Restore Ability is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination process for the first ever Sam Provence Award!

ad•vo•cate [n. ad-vuh-kit]
      a person who speaks or writes in support or defense of a person, cause, etc. (usually followed by of ): an advocate of disability rights.

Sam Provence, the primary founder of Helping Restore Ability, was an enthusiastic advocate for people with disabilities. We have created an award in honor of Sam and his tremendous efforts in advocacy. Helping Restore Ability hopes to recognize others in the community for their work in standing up for those with disabilities.

There will be one award presented at the 2012 Hand in Hand Luncheon recognizing the person deemed to be the most dedicated advocate for people with disabilities. If you know someone who works diligently for disability rights, we encourage you to complete the nomination form for consideration for this award.

Deadline for submission of the nomination form is 5:00 PM on May 4th, 2012. Mailed entries must be postmarked by May 4th, 2012. We are unable to consider submissions received after the due date.
